The LionHearted Collective
Group Programme
A group embodied coaching programme for coaches and leaders who want to work more confidently with their own and others sensitive nervous systems.
Working with sensitivity starts with understanding what's happening in you, in your client, and between you.
As a coach or leader, your own sensitivity and empathy can be valuable strengths. Developing greater awareness of breath, physiology and nervous system responses can help you recognise when your own capacity is being stretched, when a client might benefit from space rather than another cognitive question, or when a different approach could better support the conversation.
By bringing together science-led understanding and embodied practice, you can build the confidence and capacity to navigate complexity, honour your own needs and respond more intentionally to your clients' needs.
The aim is to work with sensitivity as a strength, creating space for people to feel respected and supported as they work towards their goals, without losing sight of yourself in the process.
Why this matters for coaches?
There is no one-size-fits all breathing or somatic technique. What helps one, can be neutral or activating for someone else. Coaches need discernment, not necessarily more tools.
→
Some clients are incredibly self-aware and highly articulate, but stay stuck. Insight alone isn’t shifting their patterns.
→
Cognitive coaching isn’t always appropriate for the state someone is in. Sometimes the body needs attention before we ask for more thinking.
→
Coaches sometimes need to work with complexity without becoming a trauma therapist, holding space safely without rescuing or running the risk of inadvertently causing harm.
→
Sometimes clients say “I’m fine” when physiology signals, interoception and body awareness can show something else. This creates opportunity to get curious and build awareness.
→
The coach’s physiology is part of the interaction. Your breathing, level of activation, capacity and responses can influence how you show up and support more effective co-regulation.
→
The body’s physiology (breathing, posture, movement, voice etc) can provide additional information to get curious about.
→
As a coach, you might be highly sensitive yourself and carry the emotional weight of your client’s experience beyond the session which can eventually impact and lead to exhaustion and burnout.
→
The same client can have different capacity levels on different days, and working responsively is important.
→
Breathing isn’t always just another regulation technique. Breathing patterns are connected with physiology, attention, arousal, behaviour and how we show up with another person.
→
Programme Outcomes
Create a safe, supportive foundation for the work and get clear on what you want to change, strengthen or create through the programme.
Learn how to recognise and access your own resources, restore your energy, and support others to connect with their own resources.
Understand what your own breathing patterns are telling you, and how it can affect the space you're holding.
Learn to stay grounded when the conversation becomes heavy and how to spot the signs in others.
Learn to listen to what's happening beneath the words — in yourself and the person you're working with.
Stay connected to your own experience while making space for theirs.
Learn how to support highly sensitive nervous systems.
Stay present when you can't fix, solve or make it better. Build your capacity to stay with manageable discomfort, uncertainty, emotional intensity and silence without automatically moving into fixing, rescuing, over-functioning or avoidance. Learn to tolerate the discomfort of not being responsible for the outcome.
Learn to recognise early signs of depletion/burnout in yourself and those you support and make more intentional choices about where your energy goes.
Understand where your role begins and ends, and develop boundaries around your time, energy, availability, emotional capacity and expertise.
Develop confidence in your ability to trust yourself when you need to make important ethical decisions.
Build the courage to say what needs to be said, even when it might disappoint someone.
Bring everything together and create your own definition of healthy responsibility, sustainable success, confidence, boundaries, care and impact.
