Hello…

I ‘m Anette

Like the lotus flower, rising from the mud into full bloom, my work is rooted in the belief that the way we feel, act, and respond isn’t just about who we are, it’s shaped by what we’ve lived through, especially in bodies and brains that move through the world differently.

I’m here to create space for you to understand yourself with compassion, drawing on the neuroscience of how our brains and bodies learn to predict, protect, and respond to life’s events. When we meet our patterns with safety and curiosity, change doesn’t need to be forced. It can unfold naturally through new experiences over time. Rooted in clarity and wisdom, empowered to lead from within, I support you to meet yourself exactly where you are.

This work centers around your nervous system. We look at how regulation and overwhelm show up for you, and how to grow your capacity to stay connected to yourself through it all. Flow with nervous system care and compassion - not striving for constant calm, but cultivating sustainable ways of being that honour your needs, your pace, and your energy.

My philosophy

As a late-diagnosed neurodivergent individual, I combine heartfelt empathy with a science-informed, somatic approach, to guide others through life’s intensity and complexity.

My background

My professional experience:

I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work.

With over 15 years’ experience in education, leadership development, and learning design, I’ve worked across both school and corporate settings to design and deliver coaching, training and mentoring programmes, as well as teaching curricula that meet people where they are. I understand how people grow, learn, and adapt — both personally and professionally, and I bring that understanding into every coaching space I hold.

This work has always been shaped by a deep curiosity about what truly supports change, not just in mindset, but in the body. My fascination with the nervous system began during my science degree, where I studied the vagus nerve’s role in stress and personality. That early interest laid the groundwork for the somatic approach I use today. Over time, I’ve experienced firsthand that regulation isn’t just a helpful tool, it’s a foundation. It helped me move from surviving to truly thriving, and now it’s central to how I support others.

My lived experience:

I’ve faced challenges that haven’t always been visible to others.
For most of my life, there was a gap between my competency and capacity. Outwardly capable and driven, I often felt overwhelmed, exhausted, and struggled to keep up. Years of masking and pushing twice as hard as everyone else, took a heavy toll on my nervous system.

A late diagnosis and getting to understand and befriend my sensitive nature, finally gave me language for the disconnect I’d always felt, and the impact it had on my body, emotions, and sense of self. Traditional coaching that I sought, focused only on executive function, but what I needed was support that honoured the deeper aspects of my needs: emotional regulation, sensory load and the deep-rooted habitual ways of responding to earlier life experiences.

Today, I help others build sustainable flow, self-compassion, and authentic agency in both their personal and professional lives.

I'm originally from South Africa and have lived in the UK for the past 25 years. I'm a keen photographer who loves capturing nature scenes. I’m well-travelled and find inspiration in the diversity of people and places I’ve encountered along the way.

I feel most grounded when I’m walking in nature, practicing yoga, wild swimming, or exploring breathwork. I also have a deep love for circus arts - there’s something so freeing about hanging upside down!

I’m deeply passionate about my own self-development and spiritual journey: exploring energy work, parts work, and shadow work to deepen my awareness and support my healing.

Animals have always had a special place in my heart, especially cats, which are my favourite companions.
