Hello…
I ‘m Anette
My philosophy
Our brains are constantly predicting and scanning for safety, patterns, and possibility. How we show up, make decisions, and respond is shaped not just by what we know, but by the state of our nervous system in the moment and the context we are in.
When we practice awareness, regulation, and presence, the nervous system begins to learn new patterns. This updates the brain’s predictions, so over time we’re less likely to default into survival-based responses.
Instead of overfunctioning, we can begin to respond with more clarity, feel more connected to ourselves, and expand our capacity for healthier boundaries over time.
My background
My professional experience:
I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work.
With over 15 years in education, leadership development, and learning design, I’ve supported individuals, teams, and cultures through change across diverse settings, designing and delivering inclusive development programmes where people can thrive.
My background is in biomedical science and education, where I trained and worked as a science teacher and Specialist Leader of Education. I later moved into leadership development, learning design, and coaching, and continue to draw on this foundation to bring a science-informed lens to physiology, behaviour, and sustainable change.
My lived experience:
With a late neurodivergent diagnosis, I’ve experienced first-hand the strain of complexity and nervous system dysregulation in high-demand environments. I’m still learning, just like the people I work with, what it really means to stay connected to myself in real time—especially in moments of pressure, overwhelm, and relational demand. Over time, I’ve discovered that understanding regulation isn’t enough; it has to be embodied in how I relate to myself and others, including how I begin to notice my limits and communicate needs more clearly. I bring together lived experience, science, and professional training to walk alongside others in building that same capacity, step by step.
I'm originally from South Africa and have lived in the UK for the past 26 years. I'm a keen photographer who loves capturing nature scenes. I’m well-travelled and find inspiration in the diversity of people and places I’ve encountered along the way.
I feel most grounded when I’m walking in nature, practicing yoga, wild swimming, or exploring breathwork. I also have a deep love for circus arts - there’s something so freeing about hanging upside down!
I’m deeply passionate about my own self-development and spiritual journey: exploring energy work, parts work, and shadow work to deepen my awareness and support my healing.
Animals have always had a special place in my heart, especially cats, which are my favourite companions.
