Hello…
I ‘m Anette
My work is guided by curiosity about what truly supports change, in the mind, body, and nervous system. Fascinated by the vagus nerve’s role in stress and personality since my science degree, I’ve developed a somatic approach that helps clients regulate their nervous systems and navigate life in ways that honour their sensitivity and intuition.
Drawing on neuroscience, including Lisa Feldman Barrett’s research showing that the brain constantly predicts and conserves energy, I support sensitive deep feelers and divergent thinkers to create healthier patterns today, so they can respond to life with greater ease, clarity, and confidence tomorrow. Together, we embrace natural strengths, cultivate self-care, and build sustainable flow, without needing to change who you are.
My philosophy
My background
My professional experience:
I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work.
With over 15 years’ experience in education, leadership development, and learning design, I’ve supported individuals and teams through change and growth in both educational and corporate settings. I’ve been a teacher, training other teachers to be inclusive of all abilities; partnered with universities on inclusive programmes for apprentices; led DEI initiatives across organisations; and designed and delivered coaching, mentoring, and leadership development programmes. Across these roles, I’ve seen firsthand how sensitive and divergent thinkers flourish when their strengths are understood and supported.
I bring this understanding into every coaching space I hold, helping clients embrace their unique wiring, trust their intuition, and build confidence, clarity, and sustainable growth in all areas of life.
My lived experience:
I’m a highly sensitive deep thinker with a late neurodivergent diagnosis and have always been highly capable, but for a long time I pushed myself too hard, burned out, and struggled to keep up because I was trying to fit the mold. I learned coping strategies that weren’t always healthy, and over time I’ve worked on my self-leadership, building habits rooted in self-care and self-love, and embracing my sensitivity as a strength. I’ve have come to trust the incredible wisdom my intuition offers. Coaching transformed my life, helping me honour my needs, make empowered choices, and fully be myself. I now support others to do the same.
I'm originally from South Africa and have lived in the UK for the past 25 years. I'm a keen photographer who loves capturing nature scenes. I’m well-travelled and find inspiration in the diversity of people and places I’ve encountered along the way.
I feel most grounded when I’m walking in nature, practicing yoga, wild swimming, or exploring breathwork. I also have a deep love for circus arts - there’s something so freeing about hanging upside down!
I’m deeply passionate about my own self-development and spiritual journey: exploring energy work, parts work, and shadow work to deepen my awareness and support my healing.
Animals have always had a special place in my heart, especially cats, which are my favourite companions.
